Taco Plus is the newest Mexican venue to open in the Geelong region, dishing up the same flavours you’d find in Mexico with a menu dedicated to the most delicious fresh tacos, guaranteed to blow your tastebuds away.

Courtesy of the team over at Burger Plus (voted as best burger in Geelong) who have food creation down to a fine art, the owners were ready to try their hand at something new. Previously serving tacos from their Mercer Street burger venue as an additional menu item, the team jumped a vacant space on Pakington Street, previously operating as Pako Fish & Grill.

Opening in early May to the tune of free tacos and a line at the door, Taco Plus operates in the same capacity as Burger Plus, focusing on casual dine-in and home delivery.
Looking to the menu, the hero is of course the amazingly fresh and succulent tacos. At just $6 each, you can choose from a range of flavours, including Mexican chicken, slow cooked beef, chilli con carne and Frijoles in either a hard shell or a soft shell tortilla packed with crispy lettuce, house salsa, sour scream, cheese and salsa fresca. With these fillings, all at $6 a pop, you’ll never feel so full having spent so little than at Taco Plus. For an extra dollar, there’s even a special fish taco in a soft tortilla with battered fish fillet, lettuce, coleslaw, chipotle mayo and salsa fresca.
Alongside the tacos, you’ll be able to fill up on burritos (chicken, beef, chicken, fish or plant-based chilli con carne) made with flour tortillas and filled with Mexican rice, frijoles, cheese, corn, sour scream, chipotle mayo and salsa fresca; Burrito Bowls with all your favourites flavours in one nourishing bowl; and quesadillas in a selection of Mexican flavours.
Of course there’s the famed Nachos Supreme. Devour corn chips tossed with melted cheese and chopped jalapenos, salsa, sour cream, guacamole and salsa fresca.
If you’re looking to bulk your order, there’s also fries, sweet potato fries, jalapeno poppers, and taquitos.
With a range of vegan and vegetarian options available, Taco Plus is all about making tasty food with wholesome and fresh ingredients, which means you can have twice the amount of tacos (right?).
