A new video series ‘Up In The Airlock’ is set to launch in April

Up in The Airlock (UITA) is a live ‘in the studio’ performance series that aims to accommodate more live sessions for artists unable to play shows and help support our local Brisbane artists and crew, due to the devastating effect of COVID-19.

Recorded and filmed at Ian Haug’s (Powderfinger, the church) Airlock Studios, these sessions will showcase both local and national acts performing a 15-45 min set in a studio environment that captures the intimacy, personality and technicalities often missed at a live show. Each session will be released on YouTube and be accompanied by exclusive behind the scenes footage and interviews shot at the studio.

Up In The Airlock will launch in April with ‘The Quarantine Session’, with the first being from Brisbane rockers WAAX who were due to tour next month.

Viewers will also have the option to donate funds which go directly to the artists and crew. This initial ‘Quarantine Sessions’ campaign will run for three months to help support the greater Brisbane Entertainment community though these uncertain times.

To keep across the launch, subscribe to Up In The Airlock’s YouTube channel and sign up to the mailing list via the official website.
