Paradise Parlour is a real winner.
UPDATE OCT 2021: After having their doors closed for the winter months, the good humans at Paradise Parlour are opening once again, in the lead up to our hot vax summer.
The ice creamery will reopen on Sunday, October 31st for its second year at its location on The Terrace in Ocean Grove.

As soon as the temperature jumps up a few degrees, it’s instantly perfect ice cream weather. After all, there’s no greater time to get a cone of something soft, cold and delicious, with the sticky remains on your fingers for hours.
Located in Ocean Grove, Paradise Parlour has been a favourite for picking up an icy treat after a day at the beach. Opening two years ago at the hands of Talya Pecen and Ben Farrugia, the ice creamery began delivering high quality and innovative ice cream products made locally, and fast became the go-to in town for those late-night ice-cream hankerings with doors open until 9pm.
While their location on The Parade served them well for the past two summers, with the shop pivoting to home deliveries during the pandemic, Paradise Parlour decided to move their business to the centre of town, providing a new fresh, friendly, vibrant and engaging environment for ice cream lovers.
“Our business was growing and we needed to have the right space and location. We had a couple of good seasons at our old shop but it was time for us to look for a location that was closer to our customers,” Tayla and Ben explain.
“We also needed a space that would allow us to do the exciting things that we have planned.”
Taking over the space on 3/62 The Terrace (previously Coastline Tattoo), you’ll find a humble storefront tucked away on the street with a splendour of soft pastel hues and a new logo to boot. Inside, you’ll be blessed with bright neon signage, fresh greenery and an ice cream cabinet housing a wide range of flavours, including the likes of cookies and cream, honeycomb, salted caramel, coconut, chocolate hazelnut, and all-time favourite coffee.
The central location is definitely a win, but better still, all ice creams are handmade with natural ingredients. There is also flavoursome vegan, gluten free, sugar free, dairy free and nut free options available. How’s that for the most accommodating ice creamery around?
Since opening their original shop the couple have prided themselves on being eco-friendly, an ethos that will continue with their new store. Focusing on natural ingredients and sustainable methods, everything possible in the shop is recycled, biodegradable or decomposable, continuing to limit the shop’s impact on the environment.
So go on, head on down to this little slice of paradise and get yourself a scoop in one of their bamboo cups or a crumbly waffle cones, you won’t regret it!
