The celebration includes a daring after-dark fire performance, street food from A Taste of Tolga who offer a menu that ranges from tacos to karaage chicken, burgers, and of course the humble fries, and a great range of Great Ocean Road Brewing craft beers to sample.
The team of Mattias Isaksson, Matt & Lesley Shortal, and Mick & Renae Ranger have built a brewery of exceptional variety since coming into the craft scene with their flagship core range of pale ale, hazy mid, XPA, summer ale, the stout and their IPA all quality favourites, but it’s their experimentation that has built their brand, with the Winter Solstice event the perfect time to sample the selection including new comers.
Coming in just in time for the main event is their latest creation, the Raspberry Vanilla Stout. At 6.5%, this brew is full of rich and deep malt complexity. Chocolate and roast flavours are matched by vibrant notes of raspberry and vanilla making this a perfect for post-A Taste of Tolga feeding. They will also be introducing their German style Schwarzbier (black beer) for the evening, a new recipe that the brewers have tirelessly been working on.
What a perfect excuse to try a taster, enjoy some cold night nibbles and welcome in the winter solstice!
