To celebrate National Doughnut Day, sweet giants Krispy Kreme and local Canadian bakery, Maple Bakery are giving away free doughnuts.
It’s a day of celebration – one that sits at the top of Homer Simpson’s drooling calendar – as the humble yet delicious doughnut is officially recognised. Tomorrow, Friday 7 June is National Doughnut Day where the variety of circle treats are spotlighted – from the cinnamon to the glazed to the sprinkles and the hot jam-filled.

To celebrate this wonderful day on the calendar, doughnut giants Krispy Kreme will be giving away 10,000 FREE Original Glaze doughnuts to Aussies across the country. To put that into perspective – that’s enough OGs to cover the length of eight Sydney Harbour Bridges!
All you have to do is pop into a local Krispy Kreme store tomorrow 7 June (aka National Doughtnut Day) to nab your free one. As lines get outrageous for the melt-in-your-mouth selection, the store has recommended 6am – 8am as the quieter periods. A doughnut to start the day sounds incredible.
What’s more of a hot tip – You can technically score a free OG any day of the year. Spot the iconic Hot Light from 5-8 pm and score a hot Original Glazed right off the line (avail at select stores).
