For International Women's Day and beyond, let's all fully #EmbraceEquity.
International Women’s Day is universally celebrated on March 8. This year, the campaign is calling for everyone to #EmbraceEquity – to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren’t enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.
For some, the event marks a moment to celebrate, but for others, it’s a call to action- a commitment to raise awareness, and rally people to pledge their support to help forge gender parity.
Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here.
For one of our favourite bars, it’s both. On International Women’s Day this year, the 18th Amendment Bar will be hosting a special fundraiser in honour of the day.
Taking place on March 8 from 6pm to 8pm at the Geelong venue, this event is an opportunity for us to come together to celebrate and support women’s rights and empowerment.

18th will be donating the majority of the funds raised from this event to two important organizations, NATSIWA and White Ribbon, who work tirelessly to support women and raise awareness about issues like domestic violence, gender equality, and women’s health.
At the event, you can expect a lively atmosphere with music, drinks and passionate humans. You’ll receive an Anther Spirits Gin and Tonic on arrival and then two bespoke cocktails designed by the amazing female bar staff while meeting like-minded individuals who share your passion for making a difference.
There will also be a raffle on the evening with a handful of generously donated items like a SVC.Designs Painting, TWO Juice Cleanses Worth $130 from Juice Syndicate, NAK Hair Shampoo and Conditioner Pack and MORE!
Whether you are a long-time advocate for women’s rights or just looking for a fun way to get involved and make a difference, everyone can come out and get involved. So mark your calendar and join us on March 8th at the 18th Amendment Bar in Geelong for a night of celebration, empowerment, and giving back to the community.
