The company are raffling off four signed guitars from some of the country's best artists.

Fender Music Australia have announced a new partnership with Australian music industry charity Support Act, raffling off four signed guitars to help raise funds for musicians and workers who have lost income due to COVID-19.

The guitar giants are set to raffle off three Player series Stratocasters and a model from their new Lead series for Support Act, with three of the guitars being signed by Australian rock royalty such as the Hoodoo Gurus, Cold Chisel and Violent Soho.

One of the Player Stratocasters also features custom artwork from none other than Daniel Johns, with the Silverchair legend adorning the instrument with the isolation-friendly slogan ‘BORED TO DEATH.’ Tickets to the raffle can be purchased for $5 through Givergy.

“With thousands of Australian artists, crew and other music professionals having lost their livelihoods due to the cancellation of concerts, festivals, tours and live shows, Fender is proud to support an industry in need,” said Mark Amory, Fender Music Australia’s General Manager.

“Support Act is an incredibly important charity, and the Australian music community needs their help now more than ever. Musicians have always been generous in rallying behind a worthy cause by organising benefit concerts and other charitable events. We feel it’s imperative to ‘return the favour’ and give our support to the music community, which now finds itself needing a helping hand.”

In addition to the signed guitar raffle, Fender have also released a new limited edition guitar strap, emblazoned with #SupportLiveMusic to raise funds for Support Act and assist Australian musicians, road crew and industry workers who’ve had their lives impacted by the pandemic. These straps will be available in four colour-ways – Black/White, Red/White, Yellow/Green and Pink/Black, and are available from a selection of Australian Fender dealers for a RRP of $35.

“Support Act is very excited to partner with industry leaders, Fender, in fundraising efforts for the music industry during this current crisis. COVID-19 has decimated the Australian live music industry, and put a strain on all involved – from artists, to managers, crew, production, promoters, venues and many others,” said Clive Miller, Support Act CEO.

“The recovery period will be hard, and an uncertain time frame. Funds raised from Fender’s fundraising through the sale of Support Act branded guitar straps, and the raffle of signed Fender guitars, will go a long way to helping those in crisis in the Australian Music Industry.”
