Following on from the news Jet have reformed to support Bruce Springsteen’s Australian tour next year, the band have re-issued some classic albums.
Get Born and Shine On (Jet’s first two albums) will be re-issued across vinyl, CD and digitally from November 25.
For the CD and digital reissues there will rare, previously unreleased recordings to be added.
“Once the ball started rolling, things were happening quickly and we needed more songs to round out the set. We only had 13 songs. Get Born basically! It was a wild time, and a really creative period. We had pretty much been high for three years straight! These recordings were lost for years but then re-appeared down the line somehow,” founding member and drummer Chris Cester says.
While the reformation hasn’t been confirmed for its longevity, we can only hope the reissued albums is a sign for new music to come.
Jet perform alongside Bruce Springsteen at the now sold out Hanging Rock show in Mt Macedon on February 11.
