18th Amendment Bar and Armageddon Cake unite for an epic afternoon of specially paired cocktails and desserts

What’s better than cocktails or cake? Cocktails AND cake.

In good news for your Monday arvo, the esteemed mixologist’s at Geelong’s 18th Amendment Bar have teamed up with our towns beloved Armageddon Cake to host a decadent afternoon of cakes and cocktails.

The perfect Chrissy pressie for those of you who haven’t done your shopping yet, the ‘Caketails’ event will take place on Sunday, January 10 at 2pm. For $60 a ticket, sweet tooths will be treated to three of Armageddon’s most popular cakes and three of 18th Amendment’s favourite cocktails.

Could it be the New York Baked Cheesecake and the Bonnie and Cylde? Or the Sticky Date and the Rum Row? Whatever the combination, you can bet it will be a match made in heaven.

“We know this year has been pretty miserable for the community so we thought what a better way to get excited for 2021 than to host an event with such an iconic and exciting team, we will be reviving some our old favourite cocktails to pair with Armageddon’s most popular cakes,” says Gorge Camorra, Australian hospitality veteran and owner of the famed 1920s Prohibition-style cocktail bar.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the award-winning bar or taste one of Armageddon’s famous cakes, now’s your chance to do two-in-one.

So get your pals together, eat light beforehand and buy your tickets asap as it’s expected to sell out.

Tickets go on sale tonight, December 14 at 5pm and you can find them here.
