Welcome to THTH, Forte’s premier source of all things heavy, hard, fast and metal.
For those of you who listen to commercial pop radio in your cars or at work or at home, you may have heard a familiar voice singing a rather familiar song. Disturbed have released a cover version of Sound Of Silence and it’s getting a fair amount of airplay.
Whilst the band are no strangers to performing covers, this one appears to have come straight out of nowhere. And everyone’s talking about this cover including Paul Simon, from the band who released the original Simon & Garfunkel song, has stated publicly that he enjoys Disturbed’s version of the song.
Also, Parkway Drive are touring. Again. But this time they’ve put a call out for you, yes you, you Parkway Drive fan, to name their tour. The competition was announced on Instagram on April Fool’s day this year but still seems legit. Details are on the band’s Instagram account but if your suggestion for the name of the tour is picked, it appears that you’ll win two tickets to a show of your choice and a meet and greet with the band.
