The Drop announces its juicy AF lineup for 2019

Today is a good day.

Following the surf and celebrating music, community culture, and a love of the ocean today The Drop marks its place in the Australian festival calendar, announcing the big names that will be performing across five locations around the country.

Supported by triple j and the World Surf League (WSL), the 2019 line-up for The Drop features brother-sister duo Angus and Julia Stone Australia’s favourite electric-dance act Client Liaison, surf rock legends Hockey Dad, 2 x ARIA Gold Accredited The Jungle Giants and rising star Alex the Astronaut.

Returning for its second year with two new locations The Drop has also announced the sites for this year’s events. Set against the backdrop of some of the greatest surfing events on the planet, The Drop will take place at King Edward Park in Newcastle, Keirle Park in Manly, Queen Elizabeth Park in Coolangatta, Torquay Common in Torquay, and Barnard Park, Bussleton in Margaret River.

The festivals will take place on the first weekend of each of the three WSL Championship Tour events in Australia, as well as WSL Qualifying Series events Surfest Newcastle & the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro.

Today cements the event as a must go for any lovers of the surf and great tunes, backing up the festivals first year’s roster, which included big Australian names SAFIA, Dune Rats, San Cisco, Holy Holy and Ruby Fields.

Punters can register for Pre-Sale tickets via Audience Republic at 12:45PM Tuesday 15 Jan, with exclusive, money can’t buy prizes to be won.

General sale tickets will be on sale 9:00am Tuesday 22 Jan AEDT via Eventbrite.
