Drink Art Food Torquay

Drink Art Food Torquay festival is a three-day celebration of the very best of local produce and is running again from October 6 to 8. This is an annual event, with each day celebrating the local produce; including food, art, beverages and music. Each day will present something new and exciting for the attendees, with the weekend kicking off with the Bells Beach Brewing Bus on Friday night, the Torquay Celebration on Saturday and concluding with the Bell Street Fiesta.

The Bells Beach Brewing Bus will provide unlimited rides for ticket holders, on what can be called Torquay’s biggest dance night. Starting from 7pm, the bus will visit three of the hottest venues in town, allowing party-goers to get to each party in style.

The Torquay Celebration is the signature event of the Drink Art Food Torquay festival, and is held at the Surf Coast Hotel – with a stunning ocean view of Zeally Bay. This picturesque event includes a three-course meal, which will be accompanied by wine, cider and beer – all locally sourced. The luncheon has courses prepared by local chefs, along with the Surf Coast Hotels own chef, with wine supplied by Bellbrae Estate, beer supplied by Blackman’s Brewery and cider supplied by Forbidden Fruit Cider. The lunch also includes entertainment from local musicians, as well as a display of art from local artists. It will be followed by an official Torquay Celebration after party, held at the Pool Bar at Wyndham Resort, which will include live music. As it is the festivals signature event, tickets to the Torquay Celebration will include weekend-wide access to the festival’s events.

The Bell Street Fiesta is the concluding event and will be a fabulous Sunday Session, held in Bell Street. The Fiesta will be a fun-packed, family friendly event, with free entry for primary school children. The day will have six hours of non-stop entertainment, which includes three stages where the presence of bands, DJ’s and performers will be continuous. Gracing the stage includes Gymnastics in the Seventies, The Kite Machine, Izzy Losi, and Jasper Jolly, just to name a few. There will also be performances for the little ones, including the Mik Maks, along with entertainment such as inflatable games, a jumping castle, face painting and much more. The fiesta will be packed with chances for shopping; local produce and product stalls, breweries and wineries. There will also be local art and exhibitions.

The Drink Art Food Torquay festival promises to be a fun-packed weekend, with the best of local products and talent available. It is a weekend you do not want to miss.
