White Rabbit White Ale wins best beer award

White Rabbit brewery’s White Ale has just been crowned ‘Champion Australian Beer’ and ‘Best Wheat Beer’ in the Australian International Beer Awards.

The ale was awarded the titles after competing against 1,700 entries from over 320 breweries across 36 countries. The competition is organised by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Limited and is the oldest and most-respected beer competition in the country.

White Rabbit relocated to Geelong 16 months ago, and the award-winning beer is brewed right at the South Geelong venue.

“We’re really proud to have achieved this result for White Rabbit. To be named the best beer in Australia is just fantastic and only proves that we’re doing good things at our brewery in Geelong,” White Rabbit head brewer Jeremy Halse said.

“The team of brewers at White Rabbit work exceptionally hard to not only introduce new beers throughout the year but to carefully and consistently brew our favourites that are loved by beer drinkers right around the country. White Rabbit White Ale is a great example of that.”

The beer itself is a classic, cloudy white ale, the beer also delivers fresh hints of coriander, juniper berry and bitter orange.

You can find White Rabbit brewery at the corner of Swanston St and Fyans St, South Geelong or on Facebook.
