Your pet could be the star of GAWS 2021 graduate calendar contest

GAWS is looking for photos of your adorable dogs and cats as part of a contest.

Nothing brings smiles to our faces and joy to our hearts like our pets. Our beloved fur babies offer a much-needed distraction these days, so to help spread the love, Geelong Animal Welfare Society (GAWS) have switched up their annual calendar release, allowing graduates the opportunity to become one of the 13 calendar ambassadors for their ‘at-home’ edition.

That’s right, if you adopted your energetic pooch or darling cat from GAWS and you’ve managed to snap a pretty damn cute pic of them, they could be one of the faces of 2021 – and now that many of us are home a lot more these days, it’s likely you’ve spent many hours playing photoshoot with your fur baby (or is that just me?).

To enter, all you need to do is send your best image of your GAWS Graduate’s (.jpeg format, max. size 5mb) to [email protected], alongside their name (and their name before they were adopted if this has changed), the month/year they were adopted and their GAWS ID number (if known).

The only rule is, of course, your animal must have been adopted from GAWS.

Entries close Thursday, September 17 at 11:59pm.

The pet finalists will be announced at 7:00pm on Monday September 21 via GAWS socials and voting will then open to the public to decide the 13 2021 GAWS Calendar Ambassadors.
