Xavier Rudd returns to his roots in Torquay for first hometown show in over 20 years

Xavier Rudd, the acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter, is back with a brand new summer anthem, ‘High Times,’ released via Salt.X Records / Virgin Music Group. Following the success of his recent singles, ‘Road Trippin’’ and ‘Free The People,’ a nod to dub, ‘High Times’ emerges as the ideal remedy for those looking to bask in the summer sun or reflect on life’s challenges.

In his own words, Xavier expresses his enthusiasm for the track, stating, “I’m stoked to release this song for summer. No matter what’s going on in our lives, we can be thankful for the natural beauty that surrounds us and the freedom to take a breath in those spaces when we can find a little time. The high times.”

Having just concluded his European tour, which included notable stops at Glastonbury, Pinkpop, and Rock Werchter, Xavier Rudd is riding high on the success of his critically acclaimed tenth studio album, ‘Jan Jun Moon.’ Notably, he was recently honoured with the Australasian Performing Right Association Award (APRA Award) for Most Performed Blues & Roots Work for his stunning single ‘We Deserve To Dream’ and the 2023 Environmental Music Prize.

The singer-songwriter is gearing up for a momentous hometown performance in Torquay, closing out the show at SummerSalt Festival on December 3rd. This marks Xavier’s first hometown show in more than two decades, making it an event not to be missed.
