Mercy, the lively new shipping-container café at Geelong’s Eastern Park, is one year old!
One year ago today, the Geelong region and coffee lovers were gifted a new coffee spot in the CBD with this friendly and down-to-earth shipping container cafe.
Ran by local Benjamin Waters, Mercy at Eastern Park in Geelong has all the ingredients of a stellar cafe: their coffee (from Mikro Coffee Roasters coffee, an award-winning Specialty Coffee roaster based in Torquay) is always on point, a delicious menu with a bevvy of sandwiches and baguettes all made on-site, and an all-star team always makes you feel right at home.
The light, open-air space with beautiful views of the golf course is always brimming with hungry punters sitting down to brunch options with a cup of coffee in tow.

The cafe was so popular that Waters even introduced weekly Burger and Booze nights, providing the perfect night for winding down after a long week and wrapping your hands around a delicious burger surrounded by your best mates and a sensational friendly atmosphere.
It’s been a good year for Mercy and the arduous task of transforming the container into a nifty little café has certainly paid off. The community has wholeheartedly embraced this little gem and now it’s time to celebrate.
For today only, Tuesday, July 12, Mercy will be slinging free coffee to any customer who wishes them a big happy birthday when they order.
