The band has also dropped their mesmerising new single, Velvet, Honey & Wine, further igniting the anticipation of their fans.

Starting off in their hometown of Gosford on August 4, the Velvet, Honey & Wine Tour will take Winterbourne to various cities, including the Gold Coast, Maroochydore, Newcastle, Canberra, Albury, Belgrave, Geelong, and culminate in Ballarat on September 3.

Winterbourne has made a name for themselves through their hands-on approach to music, involved in every aspect from writing and recording to producing and directing their videos and artwork.

“Velvet, Honey & Wine emerged entirely around the bass riff that introduces the song,” says James of Winterbourne. “We originally wrote the riff in 2018 to a bouncy drum loop in an attempt to write an ABBA-esque Bop with strong indie rock flavours and a tight and bouncy rhythm attached to it at every stage and a whisper-like yet singable melody, which eventually makes its way into a soaring three-part vocal harmony

“It’s a new sound we have been waiting to share, but at the same time, it is undoubtedly a Winterbourne’ song”.

Their latest single was self-produced and mixed by their talented collaborator Jackson Barclay, known for his work with artists such as Vera Blue, Maddy Jane, and Hollow Coves.

With an impressive 37 million global streams under their belt, their music captures a range of emotions, from the energetic Long Distance Runner to the contemplative Forevermore.

Their extensive touring experience has seen them perform in sold-out theatre venues across Australia, as well as captivating audiences in the UK and Europe. They have also graced the stages of esteemed international festivals, including Germany’s Reeperbahn Festival and Canada’s Break Out West Festival.

Catch them on September 1 at Sooki Lounge. Grab tickets by heading here.
