After the sell-out success of the 2021 barrel-rested collaborations, Mr Black and Bundaberg Rum are concocting a second seasonal range, just in time for the warmer months.
Love coffee? Love rum? And coconut?
Well, it’s time to pay attention because Central Coast-based Mr Black Spirits has teamed up with the good people at Bundaberg Rum for an epic new collaboration: Mr Black COCONUTS! Rum and Coffee Liqueur. Essentially, a summer holiday in a bottle.

Featuring a tropical blend of Mr Black’s signature cold brew Arabica coffee, Bundaberg Small Batch Reserve Rum and coconuts, Mr Black COCONUTS! Rum and Coffee Liqueur is slice of tropical heaven, officially launching to the public on October 14.
Blending the world’s best rum and world’s best coffee liqueur, this one-of-a-kind spirit pulls flavours of dark chocolate, Christmas spices, brown sugar and raisins – flavours that are perfect chilled on the rocks, with coke or shaken up in an espresso martini. With flavours like this though, there’s no wrong way to drink it, in a cocktail, with ice or ice cream. You do you!
“Our last three releases have been real spirits-nerd stuff. Lots of oak, barrel-ageing – serious nose-in-the-glass products. This is the opposite, it’s just tropical fun in a bottle. Chill it, sip it, mix it with coke, or shake up an Espresso Martini. It’s delicious no matter how you drink it. After all the rain we’ve had this year, I’m looking forward to a few drinks in the summer sunshine,” said Mr Black Managing Founder, Tom Baker.
“This year, we were lucky enough to travel to Bundy to hand-select the spirits used in this edition. In 2021 we were locked out of QLD so we had to send barrels instead. We’ve really upped the rum in this year’s edition. Between the coconuts and coffee there’s a lot of flavours competing for your attention, yet it’s still incredibly well balanced,” Baker added.
The Edition’s tropical livery comes courtesy of Mr Black’s long-time partnership with Brooklyn creative Studio The Young Jerks. It’s a croc shaking a coconut tree, naturally.
