World Tequila Day is on the 24th of July each year and it goes without saying that no matter where the hand on the clock is, it’s unapologetic margarita time. Or, perhaps classic Tommy’s time if you prefer, or if you’re hardcore and like it on the rocks, that’s cool too. Regardless of how you like it, this day is for the tequila lovers out there and to help you celebrate we’ve teamed up with British superstar Rita Ora’s award-winning Próspero Tequila.

Añejo, which is aged for a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels, Próspero Añejo has flavours of spice, toasted caramel, cacao and roasted fruit.
And the Reposado, aged in oak barrels, Próspero Reposado has a distinct golden tone and a flavour with rich round notes of vanilla, white flowers and lingering spice.

The RitaRita recipe:
60mL Próspero Blanco Tequila
40mL fresh strawberries, pureed
1 bar spoon balsamic vinegar
15mL orange liqueur
20mL oz lime juice
30mL wildflower honey
3 -4 leaves fresh basil
Method: Pour Próspero Blanco Tequila, strawberry puree, balsamic vinegar, orange liqueur, lime juice and honey into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a margarita glass and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Camille Vidal’s “RITALOMA”
30mL Próspero Blanco
15mL Apple Cider Vinegar
15mL Lime juice
30mL Agave Syrup
5mL Rose Water
Pinch of Salt
Top with Grapefruit Mixer
Method: Shake ingredients and pour over ice in a highball glass. Garnish with a rose and salt rim with a grapefruit slice.
