Win a double pass to see ’90s legends The Badloves at the Banno

It's going to be a bloody good night of soul-infused rock.

Next weekend, the Bannockburn Railway Hotel – or The Banno as it is affectionately known – is set to be rocked harder than ever before when The Badloves hit their stage on Saturday, March 20, joined by Melbourne’s blues-fuelled rock duo King Canyon and local legend Alister Turrill.

Injecting soul-infused rock into the Golden Plains Shire, the ’90s legends will be celebrating their debut album, Get On Board, being reissued on Vinyl for the first time in April 2021, along with a digital deluxe edition featuring four live recordings from Triple J’s Live at the Wireless.

A band that epitomises Australian music from the 1990s, The Badloves’ fresh brand of soul-infused rock was tantalising for those chasing something a little softer than the Powderfinger’s, You Am I’s, Regurgitator’s and Spiderbait’s of the time. With their raw Hammond organ and guitars, driven bass and drums, and a soul-fuelled singer-songwriter in Michael Spiby, the combo drew a distinct line in the sand, and it’s a line that never got washed away.

It’s not every day that music royalty makes its way into the Golden Plains Shire, and to celebrate that fact, we’ve teamed up with the Banno to dish out a double pass to one lucky Forte reader. All you have to do to go in the running is enter your details below.

Competition closes Sunday, March 14. By entering, you agree to receive marketing collateral from Forte and competition partners. For more info, check out our privacy policy.
