Wild Goat Coffee Co. is the latest drive-thru to open in Geelong

Looking for a top-notch working-from-home caffeine hit? Look no further than Geelong’s newest drive-thru coffee shop, Wild Goat.

Sitting pretty on Fellmongers Road in Breakwater, this new coffee shop was brought to life by two long-time friends, Scott Hanneysee and Glen Wallace, and houses only a coffee machine, a serving station and two customer service windows where you’re able to order your liquid gold from the comfort of your car—no need to stop that podcast.

Whether it’s a flat white, cappuccino, long black, a latte on ice or even a mocha choc you’re after, Wild Goat’s friendly but speedy baristas have you sorted, churning out high quality coffees at an impressive rate.

If you’re not a fan of coffee but you’re craving a hot, tea-based drink with milk to keep you warm on a cold winter day, try their chai latte, hot chocolates, or ditch the milk altogether and go for one of their brewed tea flavours. They even offer Salted Caramel and white choc hot chocolates and flavoursome milkshakes if you’re feeling extra indulgent, and for those on a health kick there’s also a selection of smoothies to choose from.

Alongside their perfectly brewed coffee, you’ll also find a range of delicious food options, including a bacon and egg muffin, grilled chicken and cheese sandwich, toasted savoury focaccia’s, and even pies and sausage rolls. If you’re looking for a quick snack, there’s also chocolate truffle balls, banana bread, sweet muffins and ‘Billy the Kid’ cookies!

While these guys deliver first and foremost as a top-notch coffee shop, it’s their aesthetic charm that’s captured our eye. Keeping things sleek with a monochromic colour scheme, Wild Goat oozes a cool and contemporary vibe. From the matte black exterior to the Lantern pendants hanging overhead, and the timber panels to the lining of fresh greenery, they know how to nail the finishing touches. The logo – aptly depicting an image of a goat – echoes the powerful combination of hot spice and chocolate, with orange and white details that pop against dark background.

As for the name, well legend has it that a lonely Ethiopian goat herder thousands of years ago discovered the energizing and invigorating effects of coffee when he saw his goats getting excited after eating some berries. Later, the berries were dried and boiled to make a beverage… and the rest is history… that’s what their Facebook page says anyway.

When it comes to good coffee, Geelong clearly knows its stuff and if you hate to be disappointed – swing by Wild Goat Coffee and we promise you’ll be in safe, coffee-tamping hands.
