Vocalist and saxman Wilbur Wilde has been a fixture on the Australian music scene since Ol’55 got together in Sydney in 1975.

Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons occupied another four years along with tours and recording dates with, amongst others, Skyhooks, Cold Chisel, Kevin Borich and Split Enz.

He is best known for his work as member of the house band on the popular tv show “Hey Hey It’s Saturday” alongside Red Symons (Skyhooks) from from 1984 to 1999. As well as holding down plenty of television, radio, public speaking and theatre engagements in the ensuing years, Willy has continued to perform live with all sorts of bands, right around the country, including Wilbur Wilde and The Trouble Makers.

Over the years he has performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in the music industry including Skyhooks, Elvis Costello, Tom Jones, Split Enz, Roy Orbison, Cold Chisel, Joe Cocker, Dire Straits, the Angels, Dragon, James Reyne and Jimmy Barnes.
