Who is Geelong’s Best Busker?

Now in its fourth year, Geelong’s Best Busker competition is the perfect platform for unsigned artists to showcase their talents to a previously untapped regional audience.

The competition, which will take place in February, involves live performances in and around Little Malop Central in central Geelong.

Performances will feature musicians, visual artists, puppeteers and dancers from the Geelong region, all vying for the chance to take out the title of Geelong’s Best Busker.

This competition is a great opportunity for unsigned artists to showcase their talents, and could provide a key stepping stone for their career development.

There is a range of prizes to be won, with a prize pool in excess of $1000, including an opportunity to play live on Pulse Radio, and the opportunity to play at the Aireys Inlet Festival 2019.

Heats will be conducted on 16 and 19 February, with the finals on Saturday 23rd February 2019.

Contestants are judged at each heat by two judges, and six people in total will be picked to go through to the finals. The six people to go through to the finals are then showcased for a chance to take the winning position.

Applicants can apply via email to [email protected] or visit the Geelong’s Best Busker Facebook page for more details.
