And Then I Think About You is a song written about how growing up and having different responsibilities and priorities in your life can affect how you experience what should be a joyous and carefree occasion.

It’s a song about being in a strange headspace – a headspace where you feel guilty about enjoying yourself.
Specifically, it’s a song written about songwriter Paul’s experiences at the 2017 Meredith Music Festival.

What was different about this Meredith? It was the first time leaving his wife and 9 month old child at home so that he could partake in a wild weekend of music, drinking and debauchery.

Mixed by WAMI Hall of Famer, Dom Mariani and mastered by Melbourne rock royalty, Mikey Young, And Then I Think About You contains Plastic Cheeses’ quintessential rhythm, jangle, and harmony, with distinct undertones of classic Australiana, thanks to Paul Doery on vocals, bass, guitar, Nick Spurrell on vocals, guitar, harmonica, and Adza Gilliver on drums.

Plastic Cheeses are launching their new track at Mama Chen’s, 42A Albert St, Footscray on Saturday 18 January from 7.30pm.

It’s free entry!
