Winter is officially here in Geelong and this café has your back.
The temperature gauge is starting to dip very low on the coast and Geelong’s really feeling the effects of those icy winds once again.
Right now we are doing whatever we can to keep warm – double layering, donning the beanie, investing in oodies and long-line coats, and wrapping our frozen fingers around a hot beverage.
And while coffee might warm your soul, The Pickers Union throw their hat in the ring with their famed ‘boozy hot chocolate’.
A combination of all of our favourites things, this special brew is a combination of hot chocolate with Kahlúa, baileys, and shortbread rim, served with a Tim Tam- so you can timtam slam it!
It is seriously decadent and is definitely one you’ll want to sit down to enjoy.
The café first introduced the boozy concoction back in 2018 and since then it’s being a favourite winter addition for the local coffee hot spot. Serving delicious food every day 8 ’til 3:30, The Pickers Union are a favourite amongst the crew at Forte, and they’ve got a decent brekky and lunch menu sure to get the taste buds dancing feverishly!
Whether it’s their decadent brioche fresh toast, or breakfast pannacotta, these local legends curate some of the sweetest flavour combinations in the region, and the boozy hot choccy is just the cherry on top of all their other offerings. Oh and they’re dog-friendly so bring your pooch and indulge this weekend.
