This year has been a massive year for Melbourne pop priestess, Sully.
A project for musical chameleon Cailah Skinner, Sully launched into 2020 with ultimate breakup banger ‘I Should Know Better’. The neon-clad vibrant music video dropped mid-year (with a premiere right here with the Forte fam), and then the chameleon underwent another transformation.
Sully morphed into an animated avatar ahead of her latest single ‘Ghosting (Me)’ (you can read about it here) and now we understand why. Just three weeks after the single release, which quickly smashed the 20K streaming milestone, Sully drops the highly anticipated music video.
Working with Chicago animator Clairands, the ‘Ghosting (Me)’ music video sees the Sully avatar fight her literal and metaphorical demons, echoing the relationship baggage lyrical content of the track. Taking place in the thriving city walls of Tokyo, Sully is kicked out of a bar, spotting the guy that ‘ghosted’ her and follows him into a gaming arcade. Once there she is transported into an arcade game where she must fight a demon.
