Starting of as a cult phenomenon, receiving praise from critics and a passionate fan following that has only grown with time, the movie Trainspotting made its way to every university student’s wall in poster form in the noughties.
Based on the book written by Irvine Welsh, it launched the careers of both Ewan McGregor and Danny Boyle. Welsh wrote the sequel to Trainspotting in 2002 and now it finally seems McGregor and Boyle have patched things up again (after Boyle passed McGregor over for the lead role in ‘The Beach’ for Leonardo DiCaprio), and the sequel to the film is on its way!
They will start filming in May but no date is yet set for the release in this early stage. We are excited!
