Making Christmas Merrier, the annual Westfield Santa photos return to tradition - restriction-free - for the first time since 2019.
With the iconic Floating Christmas tree on its way, Christmas in Geelong will be complete this year with the annual Santa photography returning to Westfield, restriction-free for the first time in three years.
The man himself will arrive in Australian Westfield Living Centres, including Geelong, from the 12th of November 2022, with early Santa Photography bookings now open for Westfield Plus members (all you need to do is download the app).

Returning to the shopping centre for all your Christmassy needs, the full suite of Christmas photography options will be on offer, including Sensitive Santa and Pet Photography, and the option for customers to choose to sit with Santa or slightly apart.
“Our customers know that when the decorations go up at Westfield, the festive season is on its way. It really is the most magical time of the year at our centres. We’re delighted to welcome Santa back this Christmas and after two years with restrictions in place, Santa Photography will be restriction-free, with the option to once again sit with Santa,” says Scentre Group General Manager of Brand Activation and Community, Jacqui Waine.
“We know our customers are looking forward to celebrating Christmas at Westfield, so we’re planning unmissable festivities across our entire centre network. There will be something for everyone, including live entertainment, gift wrapping, pop-up bars, holiday workshops and more. We can’t wait to get into the holiday spirit and our expert team of Santa’s helpers are busy behind the scenes to make sure that this Christmas is better than ever.”
Sensitive Santa photography sessions are tailored to children with sensory processing challenges, ideal for families who would like to meet Santa for a photo in a relaxed and sensory-friendly environment.
Pet photography also returns, inviting customers to sit next to Santa and hold your darling furry friend to help bring some festive cheer into your life. It’s not just for dogs either – you can bring your cats, rabbits, guinea pigs… pretty much any small pet is welcome.
Santa photos will run from 12 November (may vary by centre) until 24 December 2022.
Bookings for Santa Photography are now open for Westfield Plus members and can be made online by visiting their local centre website at westfield.com.au and following the prompts. Alternatively, bookings for the general public will be open on Thursday 20 October.
