A Torquay local wrote a song to help a mate leave her dickhead boyfriend… and we love it

Have you ever had that friend who’s been in the dumps about their boyfriend for months and won’t shut up about it?!
You pour your heart and soul into giving them advice, telling them he’s no good but no matter what you say they’ll forever be blind to love?
You’re fed up hearing about the same nonsense over and over and your heart strings can only give so much, even to the ones you love more than anyone.
Well I know many of us sure have, including woman’s rights worker and Torquay local, Tess Guthrie.
Guthrie had had enough and wanted her friend back; more importantly, she wanted to see her friend in a happier place again and recognise that she would be better off without him.
The sea of love is HUGE, there’s plenty of fish swimming around and her song says just that (in a much more tasteful fashion). If you can relate, maybe it’s time to show someone you care about this video or maybe you need a wake up call yourself…
Not only is this song a little gem for the message laying within, but Guthrie’s beautiful folky vocals, accompanied with sweet subtle guitar tones will caress your ears, leaving you wishing every life problem could be solved with a tune like hers.
