Torquay Hotel has a jam packed July of live music

Always a favourite live music venue, Torquay Hotel continue to serve up hot artists across the winter.

June saw Bell Street venue, Torquay Hotel hopping with sold-out shows from Brisbane’s The Jungle Giant and their hits ‘Used To Be In Love’, ‘Feel The Way I Do’, ‘Heavy Heart’ and the infectious ‘She’s A Riot’, cool guys Skegss with their skate rock rhythms and Six60 with their uplifting beats.

Now Torquay Hotel are diving into July with a huge program of live music. Here’s what you can look forward to across the month.

Vacations

When: Wednesday 3 July

The Vacations have been taking over the globe following the success of their third studio album No Place Like Home. The band have appeared on late night television shows Jimmy Kimmel, Steven Colbert’s The Late Show, and CBS Saturdays with live performances that have catapulted them to new heights and leading to sold out shows across Europe, The UK and The US. Now they return to Australia for what is set to be a gigantic homecoming.

What So Not

When: Saturday 6 July

Turning up the volume is What So Not with his Dance Dance Revival Australia shows. Stepping into Torquay on Saturday 6 July from mixing from 9am until midnight. The producer and electronic music extraordinaire will be armed with new banger ‘Lights Go Out’ which dropped just last week and is already making some noise.

The Terrys

When: Friday 12 July

The Terrys Skate Pop Regional Tour hits into Torquay for a huge night of entertainment, celebrating their highly anticipated sophomore album Skate Pop. The new album sits in the larrikin vein of The Terrys classics ready to be unleashed on eager audiences. Along for the ride are mates Le Shiv and BLOKBSTR in what is set to be a fun and positively high vibe time.

King Stringray

When: Saturday 20 July

King Stingray are on the road hitting the most regional and rural spaces our country has to offer including the humble surf town of Torquay. The Arnhem Land lads are eager to yarn and share music with their fans far and wide and this tour is just that. The tour comes as the boys are in the process of writing album number two, following on from a huge debut with singles ‘Milkumana’ making waves.

Teen Jesus and The Jean Teaser / The Grogans

When: Saturday 27 July

This double headline Fix It With Salt Tour seals the deal on a huge month at the Torquay Hotel as Teen Jesus and The Jean Teasers and The Grogans slide in with their punk attitudes and absolute anthems including their latest collaboration. Their stop into Torquay follows Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers 2023 single ‘Salt’ ft. The Grogans, a punk-power ballad that tugs at broken heartstrings of realising something isn’t what you wished it would be, which is set to be a crowd favourite.
