Popping up in 2004, The Bawdies have made a name for themselves quickly, signing to Seez records in 2005 and releasing their debut album Yesterday and Today the following year. The album saw the band take on classic covers of ‘I Got You (I Feel Good)’ and ‘Tutti Frutti’, showcasing their style for breathing new life into old favourites.
Over the years, The Bawdies have not only seen significant chart success—such as with their singles ‘Just Be Cool’ and ‘Hot Dog’ climbing high on Japan Hot 100 charts—but they have also made notable appearances at prestigious venues and festivals including Budokan, Fuji Rock, and Rock in Japan. They are making inroads internationally too – check out this recent story and live performance for America’s NPR.
Their trip down under sees them in the most intimate of settings, allowing crowds to get up close an personal with the band. Ensure you bring your dancing shoes for a toe-tappingly good time.
The show at Bells Beach Brewery are door tickets only, whilst tickets to the Sydney and Melbourne shows can be purchased here.
