Tim Guy to Play Ballarat

Songman Tim Guy formed his first band in high school. There is nothing special about that, except at that time he had already been a student at ten different schools around Australia.

A similar lifestyle occurred after finishing school, with Tim living and playing throughout Australia and Europe, plus an extended stint in New Zealand. Eventually the time came to settle, which he did in Melbourne.

His new album is Chords and it sees him accompanied by drummer Gus Franklin (Architecture in Helsinki) and bassist/synthplayer Shags Chamberlain (Ariel Pink, Lost Animal), along with J Walker (Machine Translations) on string arrangements.

The Eastern, Ballarat – January 22.
