Tiger King’s Carole Baskin has advised Dan Andrews “get on the beers”, thanks to Aussie electro legends Mashd N Kutcher

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Back in April, when the world was literally falling apart, Aussie electro legends Mashd N Kutcher did everyone a solid and remixed a press conference by the Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews and turning his sage (and very serious) words into a serious club banger – ‘Get On The Beers’.

Turning what could’ve been a forgettable press conference into an unforgettable bop, the track went viral, cracking the into iTunes top 20 and becoming the salve we needed for 2020.

The core line ‘get on the beers’ quickly become a symbol of the end of Melbourne’s 111-day lockdown in recent weeks, with the duo tweaking the remix in recent weeks, featuring compilation of several Dan Andrews press conferences in count down form as the cases in Victoria decrease from 10 to zero and one of Dan sharing his decision of ‘going a little higher up the shelf’.

They’ve been true bops, but now the DJ duo have taken it one step further and recruited Tiger King’s Carole Baskin.

In a peak crossover that pretty much sums up 2020, Baskin has advised Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews to “get on the beers”… and what a time to be alive.

The new clip opens at a press conference in Victoria’s Werribee Zoo, where Andrews addressed the media in front of the lion enclosure – a nice change from that purple background we’re all so used to – before crossing to Baskin addressing Andrews.

“Hey Dan Andrews, it’s Carole Baskin from Big Cat Rescue and I know you’ve been spending a lot of time working hard down at the zoo,” she says as the beat builds in the background.

“But we all want you to take a well-deserved break and get on the beers.

“Oh my goodness that is your civic duty, that’s what’s most important and that’s what must be done.”

The video then breaks out into the tune that helped it reach the height of the charts, with a brief appearance by the Tiger King himself, Joe Exotic.
