Want an exclusive dose of live music from none other than Metallica on your TV screen this Friday?

Well, you’re in luck: the seminal thrash outfit are set to perform a rendition of their Black Album classic ‘Enter Sandman’ following the conclusion of the NRL on Channel Nine this Friday.

The set will go down to support the impending release of S&M2, a follow-up to the band’s beloved first live album that saw them team up with the San Fransisco Symphony Orchestra to perform an array of tracks from their discography.

Last year, Metallica were forced to cancel their 2019 Australian tour with Slipknot after frontman James Hetfield was admitted to rehab for issues with alcoholism. The band have remained relatively active during isolation, performing an acoustic version of ‘Blackened’ back in May.

You can listen to a version of ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’ from S&M2 below, and make sure to tune in to Channel Nine some time around 10pm to watch the performance.

Preorder S&M2 here before it arrives in full on Friday August 28.
