Within the blink of an eye, this local coffee stop is set to turn into a bustling bar serving up some fine booze.
There are plenty of fine little eateries sprinkled within Geelong’s centre of cosmopolitan lifestyle and multiculturalism, AKA Pakington Street, but Sodi Café is the daddy of the lot.
An all-day, every-day treat, the dog-friendly café has won many hearts, both people and pooches, since opening their doors back in September 2018. Named after the owner’s beloved chihuahua, Sodi caters to not only your tastebuds with their Ocean Grind caffeine but also your pooch’s, slinging the very best pupcakes and puppycinos.
Becoming Geelong’s go-to destination for dogs sipping lattes and some drool-worthy food, they’ve just given us one more reason to love them with the recent announcement that they’ll be launching ‘Doni Bar’ next week, your new late-night destination.
Slated to open on Friday and Saturday nights from 5pm, Doni Bar will see Sodi transform into a relaxed spot for a weekend drink once the sun goes down, slinging a number of expertly-crafted cocktails, beers and wines.
There are no surprises that an espresso martini is set to feature on the menu, but we’re also hoping to indulge in the likes of mojitos, Aperol Spritz, margaritas, fruit tingles, and cosmopolitans. We’ll just have to wait for the menu to drop, which should be happening very soon by the looks of their socials.
Doni Bar will also be running a happy hour from 5:30pm, where you’ll be able to score $10 cocktails and $5 beers and wine.
As for the food options, they’ll also be swapping their morning chilli eggs and Sodi benedicts for grazing boards and paninis in the evenings.
Keep an eye on their socials for further details.
Sodi Café and Doni Bar are located at 149 Pakington Street, Geelong.
