There’s a mini beer festival happening in Geelong next weekend celebrating local craft beer

Spend a Saturday afternoon sipping brews at this one-day festival.

It’s that glorious time of the year again as brewers from all across Australia come together with their liquid gold, celebrating the beauty of beer through more than 300 diverse and innovative events across the city and regional Victoria.

As part of Good Beer Week (which runs from Friday, May 14–Sunday, May 23) a bunch of Geelong’s local breweries are putting on something a little bit spesh with a mini beer festival.

Taking to Cockies Brewery (walking distance from the South Geelong Train Station) on Saturday, May 22, Geelong’s premier Good Beer Week event ‘Bellarine Brewers Unite’ will see six of our esteemed local breweries come together to pour beer and talk all things craft for an entire afternoon.

Alongside Cockies Brewery, we’ll also be seeing the likes of Blackman’s Brewery, Valhalla Brewing, Bells Beach Brewing, 38th Parallel Brewing and BrewiColo Brewing Co. Ensuring you have a pint glass in your hand non-stop, these local legends will all be set up in South Geelong offering beer lovers a chance to chat about top-notch tipples and learn about the raw ingredients, as well as tasting a range of new beer releases and specially brewed collaborations, as well as the cores beers. There will brewery tours with an opportunity to try beer at various stages of production and straight from the brewery tanks.

Promising the real festival experience, there will also be food trucks on-site, music and brewing demonstrations promising a good time for absolutely any beer lover.

Coinciding with Melbourne’s GABS festival, this is the perfect event for those that prefer to stay local.
