Presented by one of Victoria’s leading musical theatre companies, Geelong Lyric Theatre Society is staging the biggest musical theatre concert in its almost 50-year history, bringing a dazzling dose of Disney to Costa Hall this May.

From old-school classics to contemporary chart-toppers, ‘Wish Upon A Song’ will showcase all the epic music from more than a dozen Disney films, including The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Frozen and Frozen II.

Whether you’re a lover of villain solos like “Be Prepared” from The Lion King, a fan of a romantic duet like Aladdin’s “A Whole New World”, or you prefer more classic “I want” ballads like “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid and the belt-it-all-out hit “Let It Go”, we guarantee these magical melodies will get you in a happily-ever-after mood for the entirety of the show.

With an all-original program, theatre-goers will witness some of the region’s most talented performers, featuring a youth orchestra on stage, a 46 strong cast, and the beautiful voices of the Geelong Youth choir.

All music is specially arranged for orchestra, cast and choir by local maestro and Musical Director, Brad Treloar, while Charlotte Crowley will be making her debut as choreographer, alongside well-known local Director, Davina Smith and Assistant Director Richard Senftleben.

After being originally put on hold throughout 2020, this production marks a very special moment for the Geelong Lyric Theatre Society who reunite to bring young and old together for 90 minutes of really uplifting, ‘feel fantastic’ entertainment.

Witness the magic on Friday May 21 at 7:30pm, and Saturday May 22 at 1pm and 5:30pm. Tickets are on sale through the Geelong Arts Centre.
