Singer-songwriting Queen Thelma Plum has rescheduled her headlining Australian tour once again as a result of Victoria’s latest restrictions, moving shows in Melbourne and Torquay to July.
The Aussie music angel originally announced her Homecoming Queen headline tour back in February 2020 after a colossal 2019, with the intention of hitting the road in May, performing in major cities such as Sydney, Perth and Melbourne, as well as a number of regional stops.

Plum will now take to the Torquay Hotel on Monday July 19 and Tuesday July 20, rescheduled from 18,19, 20 June. More tickets have become available for the previously sold-out shows, with tickets for Monday available here, and tickets for Tuesday’s show here. The Homecoming Queen tour comes off the back of her debut album Better In Blak, which was nominated for ‘Album Of The Year’ at 2019’s ARIA Awards and came in at a healthy #3 on triple j’s album poll. On top of that, she also did very well in triple j’s 2019 Hottest 100, with ‘Not Angry Anymore’ at #78, ‘Homecoming Queen’ at #65 and ‘Better In Blak’ at #9, making her the highest ranking First Nations artist ever.
Plum revealed that the tour was to celebrate the last 12 months of her career, reflecting on both the success of her 2019 debut album ‘Better In Blak’, but also its impact. Now more than a year later, Plum has finally kicked off her tour and will be heading to Victoria in July for the long-awaited performance.
“Good old COVID really is the gift that keeps giving,” Thelma said in a statement. “I was really trying to avoid this but with hard borders and quarantine requirements for exactly half my band and crew, we have had to make some changes to the Homecoming Queen tour to make sure the show really does go on.”
Kira Puru will still be joining Thelma on the road, as will newcomer Molly Millington.
Thelma has previously said: “I am so damn excited to bring the Homecoming Queen shows on the road – I’ve been looking forward to this tour for what seems like forever!”
