Thelma Plum announces the ‘Making It Up To You’ tour, taking to previously cancelled venues

Singer-songwriting queen Thelma Plum has announced the 'Making it Up To You' tour, which will see her perform at a handful of the venues originally cancelled as a part of her Homecoming Queen tour.

The Aussie music angel originally announced her Homecoming Queen headline tour back in February 2020 after a colossal 2019, with the intention of hitting the road in May, performing in major cities such as Sydney, Perth and Melbourne, as well as a number of regional stops. Rescheduling her headlining tour multiple times due to the restrictions and lockdowns across the country, Plum is now making good on her promise to make it up to fans with a run of new dates.

Alongside these dates, Thelma will also be performing at VIVID Live in Sydney with Paul Kelly.

With Plum joining Vance Joyon his Australian tour later this year in Darwin, Brisbane, Canberra, and Hobart, her Making It Up to You headline tour will see her take to the stage in Gosford, Castlemaine, Torquay, and Kingscliff.

The two Victorian shows will go ahead in June, with Plum taking to the Theatre Royal in Castlemaine on Thursday, June 2 and the Torquay Hotel in Torquay on Saturday, June 4.

The Homecoming Queen tour comes off the back of her debut album Better In Blak, which was nominated for ‘Album Of The Year’ at 2019’s ARIA Awards and came in at a healthy #3 on triple j’s album poll. On top of that, she also did very well in triple j’s 2019 Hottest 100, with ‘Not Angry Anymore’ at #78, ‘Homecoming Queen’ at #65 and ‘Better In Blak’ at #9, making her the highest ranking First Nations artist ever.

Plum revealed that the tour was to celebrate the last 12 months of her career, reflecting on both the success of her 2019 debut album ‘Better In Blak’, but also its impact.

With a big bag of new tunes to show her fans as well as songs from her Better in Blak album, Plum says “I am super excited about playing the Vivid Live shows with Paul Kelly, but with headline shows not just a dream, it’s a great time to do some of my own dates, so the band and I are so keen to get back on the road!
