As part of the upcoming Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Melbourne will be scoring its very first AVPN Pizza Festival – known the world over as one of the grandest celebrations of pizza in existence today. Coming with the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana seal of approval, the event will offer budding pizza-chefs the chance to learn what makes traditional Nepolitan pizza so universally revered from the masters themselves.
Capping it off, there will pizza tastings and several wood fired ovens cooking up the classic dish on site alongside pizza-making masterclasses, a set from comedian Joe Avati and Italian-themed entertainers and dancers.
