The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters are coming to regional Victoria

The Harlem Globetrotters will make their long-awaited return to Australia in June and July as part of the Spread Game tour.

The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters – featuring some of the most electrifying athletes on the planet – is set to thrill crowds across the country with their ‘Spread Game’ tour kicking off in June this year.

Globally known for their amazing feats on the basketball court, incredible humour, generous acts of goodwill and providing endless entertainment for their adoring fans, the Harlem Globetrotters’ tour will begin in the Gold Coast on June 30 before taking to 12 other venues across two weeks, hitting up Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney, Wollongong, Perth, Traralgon, Ballarat, Melbourne, Bendigo, Hobart and Launceston before finishing up in Adelaide.

First forming in 1926, the Harlem Globetrotters have since become one of the most popular entertainment brands in the world, performing hundreds of live shows every year packed with four point shots®, ball spinning that defies gravity, innovative dunks and hilarious on-court characters.

Part streetball from the players who defined it, part interactive family entertainment, the Globetrotters’ unique basketball skills and wizardry have thrilled millions of fans and the team is synonymous with family entertainment and breaking down barriers and social divides.

Currently holding 21 Guinness World Record Titles, and having set an amazing nine new records on Guinness World Records Day in 2018, their gravity-defying, slam-dunking, impossible shot-making shows is an experience that needs to be seen to be believed.

Heading to Australia as part of their World Tour, the ‘Spread Game’ tour is all about honouring the late and great Curly Neal. Neal played for 22 seasons with the Globetrotters between 1963-1985, appearing in more than 6,000 games in 97 countries. His number 22 was retired by the Globetrotters in 2008.

“We are so excited to bring the Harlem Globetrotters back to Australia for their Spread Game tour,” Hungry Jack’s NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said.

“It’s been three long years since they last toured Australia and we are sure basketball fans from across the nation will come out in droves to enjoy a world class night of family friendly entertainment.”

Providing full-court full for the whole family, after virtually every game, the Globetrotters also stay on the court for autographs and photos with fans with Magic Passes available for those craving more interaction with the stars.
