Earlier this month, The Teskey Brothers released their long-awaited live album, ‘The Teskey Brothers — Live At The Forum’, capturing the performances of the Melbourne blues-rock band on tour.
Recorded at famed Melbourne venue The Forum over four nights and featuring songs from the band’s two critically acclaimed albums, Run Home Slow (2019) and Half Mile Harvest (2017), as well as a special cover of John Lennon’s ‘Jealous Guy’, the incredible album has debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart, making it the first live album to go number one by an Australian band since AC/DC Live in 1992.
“We are completely gobsmacked to reach the number one spot. I guess it just goes to show how much everyone misses attending gigs right now,” says Josh Teskey.
Having formed in 2008, the band has risen quickly to become one of Australia’s most respected and dynamic bands, with a great live show and a super groove that harks back to the 1960s and 70s and an era of great rock.
Their non-stop touring schedule has included sold-out shows across Australia & NZ (20+ sold-out dates in 2019 alone), New York, LA, San Francisco, Denver, Toronto, London, Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow, Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich and more, and that’s not even mentioning all the festival’s they’ve performed at across the world.
With good humour, a solid-as-a-rock bond and awesome chops, there’s no stopping The Teskey Brothers. Check out the album below.
