The Stiffys Just Released A Song About Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go is sweeping the world, and everyone’s newsfeed, right now. Apparently, The Stiffys were so distracted by trying to catch ’em all during recording that the only way they could get it out of their system was to write a song about it.

“We’ve been wasting so much recording time playing Pokémon Go,” said bass player Jason Leigh. “We’re releasing the song straight away before we’ve even left the studio so we can be the first band to sing about Pokémon Go.”

So there you have it. The Stiffys are now the undisputed Pokemasters of Australian music. Well played, fellas. Well played indeed.

They’ll be hitting up regional centers in the coming months. The Stiffys head to The Loft in Warrnambool on September 24, the Workers Club in Geelong on September 29, the Golden Vine Hotel in Bendigo on September 30 and the Eastern in Ballarat on September 30. The tour will wrap up the tour with a show at Workers Club on Friday November 4. Tickets are on sale now.
