While the cancellation (to put it mildly) of Soundwave caused problems for many around Australia and the world, the biggest hole it left was the chance to see metal and alternative bands from around the world all in the one place.
But where one door closes, another opens and Legion festival may just be that new door. Organised by Devil You Know drummer John Sankey (who were set to play Soundwave 2016), the crowdfunded festival would be set for March next year and feature some of the bands on the Soundwave 2016 line up.
