The Softer Side of Busby Marou

Kicking off a little later in the month, Busby Marou will be showing us their softer side with a run of stripped-back dates. Originally from Rockhampton, Tom Busby and Jeremy Marou crossed paths and decided the best thing they could do was play music together. In 2009 they became one of five successful ‘Breakthrough’ applicants, a Federal Government initiative supporting Indigenous musicians. They used the funds to record their debut. Last year the band released Farewell Fitzroy, for which a special reissue of the album has been released called Fitzroy: Days of Gold Edition. The Bridge, Castlemaine – November 20; The Loft, Warrnambool – November 22; and Beav’s Bar, Geelong – November 23.
