Another month, another wave of cafe and eatery openings in the region. These are the ones you should know about, whether it’s for a quick feed, a leisurely Sunday lunch or a decent new coffee spot.
Famous Fish
Opening just this month, Famous Fish is the newest addition to Belmont Village. The casual dining and take-away restaurant is pretty well known, serving a mouth-watering range of healthy seafood and salads. You can choose from the Famous Favourites (fisherman’s catch or the burger box have our eye), otherwise you can go the customisation route and build your own meal.

Grounds of Society
Geelong’s Grounds of Society, is our newest coffee hot spot. Serving All Press coffee, this place is kind to our busy schedules by even having a smart-phone app for coffee and select menu items to order ahead of time – making the trip to work that much smoother. They also have a range of lunch options and a few mouth-watering pastries. This place has a touch of elegance that we are loving.

Boss Burger
Two is better than one – and now we’re blessed with two locations to get our hands on the best greasy, cheese filled, dripping with delicious-goodness burgers from Boss Burger Co. Known for their customisable burgers (think mac & cheese balls and double bacon), the venue also offers ribs, jalapeno poppers, thick shakes and loaded fries. There are several items on the menu for vegetarians as well.

Pie & I
Freshest of the bunch, this new addition to Geelong opened just this week. With a mission to make the best pies, they are transforming the classic Aussie pie. They’ve got gourmet pies bursting with tender shoulder of lamb and others chock full of seasonal root vegetables. They even offer gluten free, paleo and dessert pies too – delicious.
