From their early hits like ‘Naïve’, ‘She Moves in Her Own Way’, ‘Seaside’, ‘Ooh La’ to their latest album, 10 Tracks To Echo In The Dark, The Kooks have defined British indie rock for nearly two decades. Their recent collaboration with Lovelytheband on the single ‘Jeanie’ adds another exciting layer to their sound. Opening with a minimalist pop groove and low-key synths, ‘Jeanie’ features alternating vocals between Luke Pritchard and Mitchy Collins, delivering a heartfelt ode to everyday heroes. It continues the indie rock revolutionisers staying power in the music industry, adapting and flowing with the times.

The new track sees them slide seamlessly into the modern music landscape which is currently spearheaded by Briston Maroney. One of the main characters of modern indie Briston Maroney will be heading down under as support. Hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, this will be his first time playing to Australian fans, ready to belt out raw gems like ‘Small Talk’, ‘Freaking Out On The Interstate’, ‘Caroline’ and latest single ‘Monday’.

Since breaking through in 2017 with his debut EP Big Shot, Maroney continues to garner love from all corners of the industry. He’s supported the likes of Wallows and Liz Cooper & The Stampede and played renowned festivals South By South West and Austin City Limits.

The Kooks return to Australia, their home away from home is no surprise as the band continually prioritise their Australian audiences but the tour and headline appearances both at Party in the Paddock and Yours and Owls will be special.
