Looking for something to break up the working week?
As regional Victorians enter our third week of lockdown 2.0, many of us are feeling the effects of being sent indoors once more. We’re unable to visit one another, we’ve binged the entire Netflix and Stan catalogues and if we cook another loaf of sourdough we’ll probably cry.
Luckily, our local musicians are taking the show online to share some musical joy during these trying times.
Geelong rockers The Kite Machine and authentic indie-roots pop outfit Rach Brennan & The Pines have joined forces to present a double header live concert, thanks to Queenscliff Music Festival, Platform Arts, and FReeZA.
From 7pm, the local legends will perform live from Platform Youth Arts in Geelong for a full sound, light and stage production, streaming directly to your living room while music fans can simply socially distance at home, in front of the TV.
Expect the raw energy of rock, funk and prog from The Kite Machine as they take to the stage with their savage guitar sounds and groovy riffs, while Rach Brennan & The Pines will be sharing their engaging melodies, velvety vocals, lush production, and spellbinding rhythm sections.
This event is completely free, and made possible by FReeZA – a Victorian State Government initiative promoting drug, alcohol and smoke free events.
The stream will be available on the QMF and Platform Facey’s and QMF’s YouTube channel.
