Everyone remembers how big Learn To Exist, the debut record from The Jungle Giants was, right? Well this time around they have gone big and it’s a gamble that has sincerely paid off for them. From the album title, you’re able to garner what this album is all about. There are moments of intensity in the choruses and sweeps of loud and soft sections throughout.
‘Feel The Way I Do’, opens with some rollicking electric piano that will get your foot tappin’ away, with its definitely infectious electronic grooves. Working five days a week on a 9-5 attitude, Sam Hales, front man of the band, can be extremely proud of what he has created. It’s edgy-indie guitar pop that has announced The Jungle Giants as a main stayer in the Aus music scene. The production on this album is intriguing over the course of many listens, as you’ll be wondering how they have achieved some of those luscious sounds on album highlights such as ‘Waiting For A Sign’ and closer ‘People Always Say.’
Converging on the biggest tour of their career, The Jungle Giants push the boundaries of sound on Quiet Ferocity and will play one of the tours of 2017. These songs were built in the studio to be enjoyed in open air environments and on the sweaty club circuit. In two words: Distinctly Impressive.
