The Hiding Play GTM Warm Up Party

Like so many bands before them, and like so many bands to come, The Hiding formed out of a defunct band in the summer of 2010.

An indie electro-pop outfit, they released their self-titled debut EP in 2012 and would find a couple of the EP’s tracks spun on more than 100 radio stations across the US and Canada.

Locally, too, they reached a wide audience after a track was used in an episode of ‘The Block’. It’s not a bad day when a song is heard by one million people at the same time. ‘Karma My Life’ is their new single.

Lyricist and guitarist, Anthony Salce: “Life can throw so many speed bumps and The Hiding has experienced its fair share of these. It can be deflating and soul damaging, however, these are life lessons we all experience and ‘Karma My Life’ is about accepting these journeys, appreciating the turning point and celebrating the ‘positive experience’ that changed your life.”

Oh, if you haven’t had the chance, you should check it out for its film clip alone which saw the band team with Italian sand artist Fatmir Mura. The Hiding hits Bendigo’s Rifle Brigade Hotel tomorrow night, April 29, as part of a Groovin the Moo warm-up party.
